İlk duyulduğu anda (Biyobozunur plastiğin ev ortamında bile hazırlanması) insana tuhaf gelebilir. Araştırma aşamasında olduğum için aslında uygulamasını yapacağım deneylerin gerçekliliğini daha kestiremiyorum. İnternet sitesine HYPİOS başvuru yapmayı çok uzun zamandır düşünüyorum. Fikrim kabul oldu ancak karşı tarafa daha cevap vermediğim için düşüncelerim bir etki yaratmayacağının farkındayım.

Problem Description :
Create a recipe and process for producing biodegradable and environmentally sound plastic in the home, using ingredients/materials which are readily obtainable in the urban environment.

Plastic must be water resistant and easily molded/shaped into 3D forms. Currently it is possible to produce bioplastic in sheet form in the home, but it is not waterproof and not possible to create complex 3D forms (due to material shrinkage) – http://bit.ly/cPMPQp. With industrial processes it is possible to produce waterproof bioplastic in 3D however such technologies are either trade secrets or patented.

It is our desire for a process by which anyone can manufacture usable and functional items within their own homes, using readily available materials and without risk to health or the environment.

Form of Solution

For ease of assessment, the solution should take the form of instructions to build a cup from the material solution, together with
a video of the process. We will follow these instructions to replicate the process, therefore a successful solution must be easy to
understand and replicate, with manufactured item demonstrating both capacity for containing and holding water, and retaining a 3
dimensional form as stated in the critical assumptions.

Solution IP will be transferred to hypios following rules stated in hypios contract.

Solution Decision Criteria

Winning solution will be decided against the meeting of the brief outlined above, with simplicity and accessibility of process being key assessment criteria – as ease of replication is critical.
Critical Assumption :

– Material can be safely produced in the home.

– Resources for production can easily be sourced within the urban environment – eg. Supermarket, Chemist, DIY stores

– Material should be environmentally sound both in terms of sources used, material throughout life, and post use (where it should be either easily reclaimable or biodegradable).

– Must be possible to either reclaim material using a similarly accessible process, or biodegradable.

– Must be possible to alter and adapt material properties (eg. tensile strength, malleability).

– Must be water resistant.

– Must be capable of holding hot liquid for a reasonable period of time without deformation or contamination of the liquid (100 degrees C for 30 minutes).

– Must be possible to create 3D forms from molds or other processes.

– Additional additives are allowable, provided they conform to the environmental and accessibility criteria.

Biyobozunur plastik üretimi tim dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiye’de de üretimi hızlı bir şekilde artacak ancak bunu bazılarının daha etkin şekilde yapması gerekiyor. Piyasa koşulları apayrı bir şekil arz eder. üretim olduktan sonra ihracatı dahil bitin satışları gerçekleşebilir. Ufak fikirler olmadıkça büyük fikirler üretilemez.
